Title: House Warming Disclaimer: They aren't mine. I don't own them. But I do have all 7 seasons on DVD. Time: Day after Move in Day. After the finale. Feedback: Yes please! It's my new addiction. I guess I didn't really have an old one... A/N: People liked Move In Day (much to my happiness) so I wrote a sequel! A/N: So I'm watching West Wing right now. My brother brought me all of the seasons from home when my family came and visited me for thanksgiving. I made the mistake of telling him that I am writing one of my final papers in comparative literature on the West Wing. Don't exactly know how I am going to relate West Wing to approaches in Comparative Literature but I'll make it happen. Hope you like the story. If anyone wants to read my paper to let me know that I will fail that class...let me know!! *************************************************** Monday morning came too fast. After moving all weekend, Donna was exhausted but in a good way. She finally was living with Josh. They were finally settling down to spend the rest of their lives together. So while she was tired, she was too happy to care. Even with the longer than they planned nap the day before, her stuff was all moved into his (well their) apartment. All that was left now was to change her address on all of her credit cards and her driver's license. That and to invite people to the house warming party. That and tell people that she moved into Josh's apartment. Yeah. They hadn't actually gotten to that part yet. Walking in the hallways of the West Wing brought back so many memories. She was attending Senior Staff in the West Wing today. She attended the West Wing's senior staff at least once a week to stay updated on their policies and schedules so that the First Lady didn't give them any surprises. It was practically useless. Helen Santos did what ever she wanted and when she wanted. Donna was proud to help her with any policy she wanted passed. She had come so far from when she couldn't decide if she even wanted her husband to win. Donna walked into Josh's office before any of the other West Wingers got there. When he heard her walked through the door, he looked up and smiled. "Hey you, you joining us today?" Josh asked as she sat down in a chair across from his desk. "Yeah, just catching up with your guys' schedule," Donna answered. "Don't forget we have the thing this weekend. We need to invite people." "What thing?" Josh asked shuffling papers around on his desk, not really paying attention to what she was saying. "The house warming party we are hosting Friday night," Donna replied. "Why do we have to have a house warming party?" "Because it's something you do when you move into a new place." "But I didn't move into a new place so really..." "Joshua it's not going to kill you to spend some time with your staff members on a Friday night!" Donna said. "Yeah but it's not the same as it used to be with everyone else." "Yes but they are our new friends and we are going to get to know them better. You will survive I promise." "Do they even know you've moved in yet?" Josh asked with a smirk. "No but they will soon," Donna said. They other members of the staff starting to come in the Chief of Staff's office. When all of them were in, Josh started the meeting. After talking about the schedule and important changes that needed to be taken care of, Lou talked about the press. "I got an interesting question from the press today. They wanted to know if the First Lady's Chief of Staff has moved in with the President's Chief of Staff." "The White House doesn't comment on personal lives of staffers. But so all of you know, yes it's true." The room went silent. Otto walked straight into the fire and asked the question that was on everyone minds. "You guys live together?" Otto asked. "Yes for two days now. Oh, and by the way, you're all invited to the housewarming on Friday night," Donna answered. "Aww how cute look at you two all grown up!" Sam smirked. "Shut up Sam!" Josh and Donna both said together. ******************************************************** Friday came and everyone got to go home early. The first family was taking a vacation to Texas and therefore none of the staff were needed. People were coming in a half-hour and Donna was just finishing cleaning the living room. Jus then, Josh walked through the door and yelled "I bring food!" "Don't shout but thank you!" "Aren't you supposed to cook for house-warming parties? Not just go out and buy a bunch of Chinese food?" Josh asked as he set down all of the bags of food he just picked up. "Oh yeah right like I'm going to cook for 10 people after a full day of work," Donna said and she helped him unpack the boxes of food he picked up. "We should just call all of them and say that we changed our minds. No party after all," Josh said as he walked toward her in the kitchen. "Why would we do that?" Donna asked, smiling as she felt him come up behind her and wrap his arms around her waist. "So we can have a party all by ourselves," Josh spoke in her ear and then kissed the side of her neck. Donna turned around in his arms and her lips met his. Although kissing each other was a fairly new development considering the length of their relationship, they had by far mastered the art. Josh liked to have one arm wrapped around her waist and the other tangled in her hair, holding her head to him. Donna's arms naturally wrapped around the back of his neck and her fingers played with the curls at the back of his neck. All this time, their mouths worked perfectly in sync with each other. They were still kissing up against the kitchen counter when Sam and his fianc‚ walked right through the front door. When they saw the situation in front of them, Sam of course took the opportunity to embarrass the hell out of his friends. "Okay now when you two said house warming we expected that you would be entertaining but I have to say this is something that I don't care to see." "I didn't even want to invite you but Donna told me I had to," Josh said as he broke away from Donna. Donna then hit him on the arm for being mean to Sam. Soon everyone got to the apartment and we're all eating the Chinese food with beers. While Josh was concerned that it would be awkward, it was actually very nice relaxing with the people he normally yelled at all day. And while he missed CJ and Toby and the original group, Lou, Bram, Otto, Eddie, and Lester weren't bad company. Josh glanced at Donna a few times during the night and saw how happy she looked, how at home she looked, and how wonderful she was at the entertaining people thing. After everyone left, Josh and Donna continued what they had started in the kitchen. When they were curled up in bed later that night, the only thing on Josh's mind was how much he wanted to spend the rest of his life with the angel currently fast asleep in his arms. He didn't think that she would have a problem with it but he probably was going to have to ask the question sooner or later. He might as well make it sooner. Sam was right: they were all grown up.
